Winter in the Mirror

Standing on the observation deck many miles up Eagle River, I was met with one of those scenes that makes you stop in your tracks. I have stood in this spot in different seasons over the years, but this time everything came together just right. The slow moving river had not frozen yet, and it reflected the winter scene so beautifully that it almost looked like the landscape was staring back at itself. It was a quiet, mystical moment I was lucky to catch.
