Flying Lights

I took this photo in Bettles, Alaska, on a very cold night. What I loved about this scene was the contrast. You have this lonely plane, a barn, and a tractor sitting there like any ordinary northern setup, and then above them the Northern Lights are doing something absolutely extraordinary. It is a reminder that in Alaska, even the most everyday places can turn magical in an instant.
