Celestial Drift
The night kept going and for a while it seemed like nothing was going to happen. Then around 3:00 in the morning, on a clear, star-filled night in Hatcher Pass, everything changed. The Aurora started building low on the horizon and then suddenly exploded overhead and above the trees. The shafts of color felt like they were raining down around me. It was one of those moments that came out of nowhere and made the whole long night worth it.
