Blue Ice
This rare blue Aurora appeared above the pines near Eklutna Lake and lasted only about 20 minutes. That short window made it feel even more special. The blue color, created by molecular nitrogen, gave the whole display a completely different look and feel from the more common green. It was beautiful, unusual, and absolutely magical to witness.
